Increasing emphasis is being placed on work based learning
as a means for skills development in today’s society.
A skills deficit has been identified and the Government
has placed importance on ensuring that this is addressed
to enable the United Kingdom to remain competitive.
The ability to manage employees embarking on work based
learning is of particular benefit to training organisations
and employers. Maytas® offers a dynamic and flexible
system which can be tailor-made to manage the lifelong learning
requirements of all employees within the workforce.
Maytas® is a modular system from which each customer
can choose the functionality that suits that particular organisation.
The system is Windows based with additional web browser
modules for easy wide area network deployment.
- Trainee editor – learner
records for client tracking with customisable screens for
government programmes
and local business needs.
- Employer editor –records
of company sites, contacts and learners’ employer
or placement details. Links to terms and conditions and
company invoicing.
- Contracts and profiles – holds
details of contracts, products and costs that relate to
the training,
employment
and social programmes run by the business. Measures performance
against budget of these programmes.
- Claims processing -
enables the organisation to produce financial statements
for all learners by scheme and programme.
- ILR1 data input
and LSC batch data capture – individual
learner record layout for LSC compliant operation in
England which enables the export of Maytas® data directly
to the central LSC database.
- Finance module - allows
payments to be made to learners or their employer companies
for allowances or travel. Payment
and invoice history is stored in the database to ensure
payments made are fully auditable. Finance statements
are available along with other reporting
- LSC funding/profiling
module – LSC funding is incorporated
into the system as a contract. The profiling module allows
the performance of all LSC schemes to be accurately monitored
- Achievement
tracking – allows qualifications to be
defined and then associated with the learner so that
the learner’s progress through the qualification(s)
may be recorded and measured.
- Courses module – defines
courses with associated venues and tutors. Qualifications
may then be attached
to courses along with learners who pursue these courses
and hopefully achieve the objectives. Timetabling, resource
and capacity tools are also included
- Report designer – ad
hoc reporting is provided by a simple to use but powerful
report generator. The system
also supplies standard report libraries which support
common contracts such as the LSC, ELWa, Scottish Enterprise
and
Job Centre Plus.
