Foundation software suite
is a management software application for local education
authorities
(LEA).
Approximately
50% of all LEAs
are taking advantage of this system.
The system is built up of different modules which can be
chosen depending upon your specific requirements. If your
current software applications are needed to work in collaboration
with Foundation software suite, it is possible to interface
these systems together.
The modules which constitute Foundation
software suite are:
- IDEAR
core database of pupil, school and staff data. This is the
base upon which other modules chosen will work from. It
collects data and monitors performance.
- Admissions and transfers (A&T)
manages admissions and transfers for the region covered by
the LEA. It is the best solution available to support the
co-ordinated admissions and transfers.
- School support services (SP&M)
enables plans to be constructed for the whole LEA (Education
Development Plans), individual service departments or schools.
It defines a plan of proposed work, the set objectives
and then proceeds to record and monitor progress.
- Special education needs (SEN)
case management for students with special educational needs.
Key performance indicator information is produced at the
touch of a button.
- Student transport
details pupil transport requirements, including all the individual
requirements of children with special needs, the availability
and cost of alternatives.
- Educational psychology services
(EPS)
individual student case management, where the Educational
Psychology service provides support on an individual basis.
- Pupil support services (PSS)
provides connected case management across departments, services
and agencies relating to every child and is a core system
for Identification, Referral and Tracking (IRT) of young
people in need of support.
- Free school meals and benefits
(FSMB)
records details of free meal or LEA grant eligibility and
authorisation.
- Governors administration & training
(GATS)
details governing bodies, their makeup, appointments of governors
and other contacts.
- Early years child care information
system (EYS)
records all aspects of Early Years registered and non-registered
providers, Child Minders and establishments such as Nursery
Schools and Play Groups.
