Ofsted, the schools watchdog, has awarded Tribal Education two contracts for the provision of inspection services for the delivery of school inspections. The combined value of the contracts is about £50 million to Tribal over four years.

Tribal Technology is supporting this contract with the supply of a single integrated portal for schools, on-site inspectors and Ofsted to access central information. The solution will provide access to central systems, an online booking system, allow workflow control for inspection reports and associated information, and provide a controlled, shared document area for schools, inspection teams and Ofsted.

The portal will be used by over 400 inspectors inspecting approximately 2000 schools per annum with 80 inspections per term time week on average.
